मेंहदी

A letter to man in Green by his newly wedded wife,when he goes to the border spending few precious moments with her.The loneliness she is going through is shared in her letter

हाथों की मेंहदी झड़ भी ना पाई,

तस्वीर देख आपकी देती मै दुहाई,

क्यों पिया जी छोड़ गए तुम,

देश की खातिर, क्यों मै हो गई पराई।

 

लिख रही हूँ खत तुमको,

आँखें मेरी नम है,

ये मिलना भी क्या मिलना था,

दिल धड़कन सब तम है ।

 

जी भर तुमको देख ना पाई,

अब डसती मुझको ये तन्हाई,

कुछ पल भी ना ठहरे  तुम,

मिलन की बेला थी,अब हाय ये जुदाई ।

 

पढ़कर मेरा खत, तुम वैसे ही मुस्कुराना,

जैसे हँसते थे संग मेरे और देखे ये ज़माना

कहना कितना कुछ है पर व्याकुल मन ना माना,

हो सके तो जल्दी पिया जी,लौट के घर को आना।
